Job summary Job Summary Are you an experienced communications professional looking for a varied role where you can make a real impact? Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a Senior Communications Officer to support communications across its Research and Innovation (R&I) portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a breadth of projects, channels and audiences within one of the UKs largest NHS trusts. You will play a key role in delivering internal and external communications activity that promotes clinical research and innovation taking place across the Trust and in collaboration with academic and industry partners. This is a diverse and hands-on role covering all aspects of communications, including media relations, digital, campaigns and internal engagement. Were looking for an experienced professional to join a team where you will work closely with clinical teams, senior leaders and external partners to identify and share impactful stories and celebrate the Trust's world-class research and innovation. This is a full time, fixed term contract until January 2028.

You will be a confident, organised and creative communicator with strong writing skills and a proactive approach. You will have: • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience • Experience in PR and media relations, including press release writing, handling enquiries and managing media opportunities • Strong knowledge of digital communications and social media in a corporate environment • Experience of managing website content using content management systems • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into engaging content for different audiences • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines • Knowledge of clinical research communications is advantageous, but not essential You will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
