We are a friendly, forward thinking rural dispensing GP surgery in South Somerset committed to delivering excellent patient care. We are a training practice and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated operations manager to join our supportive and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day to day running of our practice and to deputise for the practice manager when required.

We operate over two sites, our main purpose-built surgery is at Milborne Port Surgery and our branch surgery is at Templecombe surgery. Both sites dispense medications to patients.

Main duties of the job

As our Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that the practice continues to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient-centred care. Your role will involve working closely with the GP partners, Practice Manager and department team leads

About us

We are a friendly rural dispensing practice with a main modern purpose-built surgery at Milborne Port Surgery and smaller branch surgery at Templecombe.

Website: https://www.milborneportsurgery.nhs.uk/

We dispense from both sites and consider ourselves an innovative GP training practice. The dispensary team includes a dispensary lead and 5 dispensers. The team benefits from support from an in-house pharmacist and pharmacy technician as well as the local PCN pharmacy team.

We are extremely proud of our patient feedback related to the service we provide as a surgery a recent example

Milborne Port Surgery and the people who run it and work there are an advert for everything the NHS should be. They also demand and get the support they want from some impressive people in local hospitals and treatment centres. The whole is a classy act. One or two other parts should follow their example. We are very lucky to have them
