We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, organised, and compassionate Administrator/Receptionist (Band 3) to join our dedicated team in the Emergency Department at Scarborough Hospital.
This is a great time to become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
There is no set pattern to the rota. We are a 24/7 department, and the cover could be any required.
This post is offered at up what equates to 20 hours per week. The role requires a high degree of flexibility, and the rota is planned on a month-to-month basis, typically issued 8-12 weeks in advance.
The post holder will be required to work a range of shift patterns, including:
Early shift: 08:00-16:00
Late shift: 13:00-21:00
Evening shift: 16:00-00:00
Long day: 08:00-21:00
Night shift: 21:00-08:00
Flexibility across all shift types is essential to meet the operational needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
Welcoming and registering patients attending the Emergency Department. Delivering a courteous and efficient front-of-house service. Managing telephone and in-person enquiries with professionalism and discretion. Supporting the wider admin team with clerical tasks as directed. Adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines to ensure smooth day-to-day running.

Aptitude and Personal Qualities Essential

NVQ III or equivalent experience in general administration

Previous experience of NHS administration services
Education, Qualifications & Training Essential
