Main duties of the job
Triage and screen inpatient and outpatient echo referrals, liaising with referrers and screening out inappropriate requests in order to maximise the capacity of the service and provide a timely service for patients with the greatest clinical needs.
Contribute to educational needs of the cardiology team, delivering practical and theoretical training and signing off of PTPs, cardiac STP program, ETP program and registrars.
Contribute to the wellbeing of cardiac physiologists, raising any concerns to the cardiac service physiology manager in a timely manner.
Performing resting ECGs, Holter fitting, Holter analysis, physiology-led ETT.
Invasive technical expertise will be expected in the catheter laboratories for coronary intervention, assisting in PCI, TPW and pacemaker implants.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent. BSE accreditation or equivalent.
Experience Essential
Demonstrable post qualification experience in a broad range of cardiac physiological procedures. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
