We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Medical Administrator to join our friendly, supportive, and growing team at Drs Reddy & Nunn.

Due to continued growth and ongoing service development, we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individual to become a valued member of our practice team.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining administrative and reception responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service. You will play an important role in supporting both patients and clinicians, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Previous administrative experience and a strong background in customer service are essential for this role. Please note that this is a full-time position, and only full-time applications will be considered.
Main duties of the job
As part of our administrative team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Welcoming and assisting patients both in person and over the phone with a friendly, professional attitude.
Supporting patients with online triage systems, including assisting with queries and submissions
Scanning incoming correspondence, letters, and results into patient records.
Read coding relevant clinical and administrative information using SystmOne.
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in line with GDPR and practice protocols.
Working collaboratively within the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

As part of a busy and dynamic practice team, regular working patterns cannot always be guaranteed, so adaptability and a flexible approach are imperative.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent Business Administration (NVQ) or equivalent Customer Service qualification (NVQ) or equivalent
Experience Essential
Experience working in a primary care environment is advantageous but not essential Strong background in customer service and administrative work is required A clear, polite telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential for this role Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a busy workload effectively Confident using IT systems and able to learn new software quickly A team player with a proactive and flexible approach to work
