About this role
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and values-led leader to join North Lincolnshire's Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team as Team Manager. This is a pivotal Band 7 leadership role within a service that is developing rapidly, with the opening of the Acorn Centre at Great Oaks strengthening the local urgent and crisis pathway.
The Acorn Centre provides adults with access to urgent mental health and wellbeing support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in a calm, welcoming and accessible environment. Built around a "no wrong door" approach, the model brings together the clinical expertise of RDaSH, the lived-experience leadership and peer support of People Focused Group, and North Lincolnshire Mind's Safe Space offer. Together, these partners provide a coordinated, needs-led response so that people are welcomed, listened to and supported to access the right help at the right time.
We are looking for a compassionate, credible and resilient leader who can support colleagues through change while maintaining a clear focus on safety, quality, performance and the experience of people using our services. You will have the opportunity to shape an evolving service, build on strong local relationships and lead a skilled multidisciplinary team across crisis assessment, home treatment, single point of access and the Acorn Centre.
Main duties of the job
- Provide visible operational and professional leadership across the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, Single Point of Access and the Acorn Centre.
- Lead the safe and effective day-to-day delivery of a responsive 24-hour urgent and crisis pathway, balancing fixed-site, telephone, community and home-treatment activity.
- Support, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary workforce, promoting compassionate leadership, accountability, learning and staff wellbeing.
- Maintain oversight of demand, capacity, staffing, caseloads, waiting times, clinical quality, incidents, complaints, performance measures and agreed improvement actions.
- Work closely with service users, carers and partner organisations to evaluate and improve pathways, reduce barriers between services and strengthen continuity of care.
- Ensure robust clinical handovers, escalation, safeguarding, risk management, documentation and governance across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Contribute to service redesign and continuous improvement, using feedback, activity information, audit and learning to shape sustainable delivery.
- Deputise for the Service Manager and undertake delegated leadership, workforce, financial and governance responsibilities.
