Main duties of the job
To lead the co-ordination and delivery of quality assurance to Aseptic Services.
To assist the Aseptic Services Accountable Pharmacist to develop the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) for Aseptic Services including but not limited to document control systems, deviation management and quality review.
To line manage, support, and oversee the work of the Senior Technician Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) including management of internal audit, environmental monitoring and training of less experienced staff.
To review all new and/or amended control documentation used within Aseptic Services, referring areas of concern to the Aseptic Services Accountable Pharmacist, and signing off for use those that meet national standards and GMP Annex 1.

Meet essential criteria Essential
oBTEC and NVQ Level 3 Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent technician qualification recognised by the GPhC for the purpose of registration). oRegistered as a Pharmaceutical Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. oUp to date record of Continued Professional Development with evidence of reflective practice. oAccredited checking pharmacy technician or equivalent qualification. oMinimum five years relevant post qualification experience including hospital pharmacy. oExperience at any grade in aseptic services and Quality Assurance
Desirable
oCompletion of external accredited course in Technical Services, Quality Assurance or relevant area. oRecognised Accredited Aseptics Technician Checking Qualification for Pre and In-process Checking and Final Product Approval and Release (Accreditation will be provided as part of post if not already achieved).
