Sue Ryder offers a range of hospice and community nursing services in Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire, including Reading, Newbury, Wokingham, Wallingford and Henley, and many more local communities in between.
Sue Ryder provides a thorough induction with supernumerary time to settle into the role and full training/competency assessment will be provided.
There is plenty of scope to further develop your own skills in specialist palliative care, and planned career progression through our education programme and development framework is encouraged.
Main duties of the job
About you
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will be confident supporting and developing nursing teams, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, and building positive relationships with patients and their families.
The successful candidate will have strong clinical assessment and care planning skills, be able to lead by example using evidence-based practice, and maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards and legislation.

About the role
To manage a team of Registered nurses and Healthcare assistants ensuring the effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of high standards of holistic care for an identified group of service users.
Responsible to ensure effective performance management of all clinical staff in line with Sue Ryder policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal and discipline.
