About this role

Job summary

Applications are invited from motivated, efficient and committed individuals for a position of Health Records Clerk, based at Dafen Offsite Storage Facility, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.

Shifts will initially be worked between the hours of 08:45 to 17:00, with the possibility in the future of additional shifts (on a rotational basis) starting at 11:45 and finishing at 20:00.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will cover a range of duties (but not all) including;

Filing and retrieving of patient records, locating, and providing patient records for all outpatient appointments, planned admissions and day case attendances. Operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting and retrieval of data Scanning of patient records Applicants must possess excellent organisational and inter-personal skills. A flexible approach to working and working hours is required and you should be prepared to undertake additional duties as and when required. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is vital.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.

We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.

We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.

Qualifications & Knowledge Essential

Good standard of education to include Math's and English GCSE or demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills Understanding of the importance of confidentiality. Knowledge of general administrative / office duties, including filing systems
