An Opportunity has arisen for an Estates Team Leader to manage the multiskilled Trade staff team Based at Combe Valley Hospital in Bexhill covering the Estates South East region properties.

Job description Job responsibilities

Supervise and monitor Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), repairs, minor improvements and new works as required across the Trust, including:. Liaise with Estates, Projects and Property Management in maintaining Trust sites Liaise with clinical teams and all departments when maintenance and repairs will impact their areas of concern. Electrical installations, PAT testing and reviewing specialist suppliers' reports. Mechanical systems including heating, ventilation and A/C systems and reviewing suppliers' reports. Maintenance and repair of domestic, catering and laundry equipment, nursing aids, nurse call systems, security access control systems, medical equipment, hot water, heating and ventilation. Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) and investigate, rectify, report alarms and faults to Estates Management. Maintenance and testing of Fire Alarm systems, emergency standby generators. Maintenance, testing and repair of small power and lighting systems including emergency lights. To be prepared to work occasionally in areas which may be potentially hazardous where a need exists to use a permit to work systems, specific health and safety guidance and use personal protective equipment (PPE). Learn additional skills as part of continued development. Ensure spares and materials are utilised appropriately and economically. Ensure your engineers safely operate and maintain all fixed and mobile tools, equipment and workshop machinery. Erection and dismantling of tower scaffolding. Fully co-operate with the appropriate procedures required for the efficient day-to-day operation of the labour management system (currently Planon) including completion of all job tickets and timesheets. Complete log sheets, report sheets and test certificates for legislative and statutory requirements as necessary. Carry and provide and respond to pager/mobile phone, including emergencies, at all times whilst on duty. Drive the Estates Services department vehicles as required. Ensure that in carrying out all duties there is a compliance with HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) statutory regulations, current legislation, local codes of practice and policies. Undertake statutory and mandatory training as requested. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Relevant degree level qualification or diploma level plus equivalent experience or equivalent technical and management experience Estates related qualification

Desirable

Management training or equivalent experience Evidence of continued professional / engineering development First Aid Training

Knowledge and Experience Essential

Minimum 5 years' experience post training experience in maintenance and / or installation work. Building Services and Engineering experience Understanding of variety of skills and requirements for various trades associated with Building Services Continuing Professional development

Desirable

2 years supervisory experience
