Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse who has a special interest in Hepatology, to join our established Hepatology Team at St Marks. We are looking for a nursing colleague who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, organised, compassionate, reliable and flexible who can prioritise their workload and demonstrate excellence in care of patients with Hepatology and hepatocellular cancer (HCC) disease.
This post will support improved uptake in HCC surveillance in the at risk groups. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop a robust surveillance service for patient identified as per the agreed clinical pathways including a database and tracking system. The candidate will have an active role in patient and local practitioner education.
This opportunity is an ideal chance for a Registered Nurse looking for career progression in the role of a Band 7 CNS.
Main duties of the job
Provide comprehensive clinical skills, information, advice and support to patients with Hepatology issues within St Mark's Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Ealing Hospital.
Work as an independent practitioner alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Undertake research and participate in clinical audits in own specialist area, ensuring maintenance of clinical excellence, underpinned by evidence-based practice.
Participate in the education and training of the multidisciplinary team within the trust, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team within the trust.
