Duties and Responsibilities•
- Measure, mark, cut and shape timber and other materials according to specifications.•
- Construct and assemble timber fencing, gates, frames and other wooden structures.•
- Read and interpret measurements, drawings and job specifications.•
- Use hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and correctly.•
- Cut, drill, fix and assemble timber components to the required dimensions.•
- Carry out repairs, alterations and maintenance to existing timber fencing and structures.•
- Ensure that finished work is properly aligned, level, secure and meets the required quality standards.•
- Assist with loading, unloading and preparation of materials for delivery and installation.•
- Carry out other reasonable carpentry and fencing-related duties as required by management.
Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate should have relevant experience in carpentry and woodworking in a workshop .Experience in fencing, gates work would be advantageous. The candidate should have good practical and measuring skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
