Western Postform Ltd. is currently seeking a Carpenter/Joiner to join its team at Poolboy, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, Ireland, H53 W7P6. The company is looking for a candidate capable of managing a project from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be confident working from detailed technical drawings through to production and final quality checks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from detailed joinery drawings and specifications.
- Manufacture fire doors, screens, stairs and general joinery products for office fit-outs, shopfronts and hotel fit-outs.
- Measure, cut and assemble bespoke wooden components using a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Carry out quality checks, work with team members and project managers to meet deadlines, and coordinate with site managers and other trades to ensure safe, timely installations across Ireland.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and installation environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
- What We Are Looking For:A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in cabinet making or joinery is required.
- The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent measuring, marking-out and practical problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work safely, accurately and efficiently as part of a team.
- A reliable, positive and professional approach to work is also required.
