About this role
Summary We are looking for a Holiday Cottage Cleaner to prepare our stunning Water Tower holiday cottage at Trelissick.
This busy and unique holiday cottage takes week long, as well as short break holidays meaning that changeover days can fall on any day (except Sundays) of the week. We are looking for a flexible worker who is able to balance their work around their personal life, and we will be as adaptable as possible to accommodate this. If it would be of interest, you would also have the opportunity to work other, additional hours if you are able to do so in our wider portfolio.
Salary: £3,315 pro rata (FTE £24,862.50 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ working pattern: 260 hours. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

We pride ourselves in our cleaning and presentation standards as well as safety records across our portfolio from two person cosy retreats to vast mansion houses. You would become part of our diverse, close knit and supportive Holidays Team here in the Heart of Cornwall. Responsible for the upkeep of the Water Tower at Trelissick, but also potentially working across a wide range of cottages, solo or as part of a small team.
Please note due to the nature of this role and the uniqueness of the Water Tower you will be required to carry equipment up and down staircases. What you'll be doing On changeover days, you’ll make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams, and extra measures are in place to protect staff.
