About this role
Counselor for Special Education students at Castle High School. Also working with 504 plans. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is well versed on Special Education law, policies, and procedures.
Major Job Responsibilities
- 1. Guide individuals and groups of students through the development of educational and career plans;
- 2. Counsel individuals and small groups of students toward social and emotional growth;
- 3. Consult with and train teachers, parents and staff regarding needs of students;
- 4. Refer students with problems and their parents to special programs, specialists and outside agencies;
- 5. Participate in, coordinate and conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the counseling program and school;
- 6. Participate in and facilitate the intervention team process;
- 7. Plan and evaluate the counseling program; and
- 8. Pursue continuous professional growth.
- 9. Help coordinate and plan schedule with administration.
Requirements
Must possess or be eligible to acquire an Indiana Educational Couselor's license.
