CANDIDATES WITH A VALID CLASS 5 DRIVER'S LICENSE WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENCE. WE COVER YOUR TRAVEL (to-and-from site, out of Saskatoon or Prince Albert), MEALS, & ACCOMMODATIONS when at site! SHIFT WORK IS REQUIRED; WORK SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.
This position is responsible for janitorial duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps. Duties must be completed in accordance with contract standards & specifications. Duties & Responsibilities:- Cleaning & maintaining hard-surfaced floors.- Sweeping, mopping, stripping, buffing, & waxing floors.- Operating specialized floor cleaning equipment.- Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.- Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.- Collect garbage.- Clean assigned areas, including office complexes and other buildings.- Follow ACLP policies and procedures.- Other duties as assigned. Things to consider - let's not waste your time:- Requires shift work at remote, fly-in mining facilities & exploration camps.- The MUST be able to work compressed workweeks.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.- Experience operating specialized floor cleaning equipment.- One year of janitorial experience is a preferred asset.- A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.- Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.- Ability to perform janitorial duties in a safe and efficient manner.- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.- Must be fit for duty & capable of safely fulfill the job requirements in a remote fly-in setting.
