Atkins Electric is a small business in Chilliwack, BC. We are service driven with a focus on the industrial sector. Work area ranges from Surrey to Hope with some projects throughout Northern BC and Vancouver Island.
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and components, as well as experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Test electrical systems and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Install conduit, wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Test and repair VFD's, Soft starters, PLC systems.
Mechanical skills would be considered an asset.
Strong understanding of current Canadian Electrical Code.
Clean driving record required.
Wage to be based on experience.
Must be available for overtime and out of town work when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience
- Journeyman Electrician: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification
