We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and accountability
- Provide product information and perform product demos when needed
- Upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Use technology sales techniques to promote store offerings when appropriate
- Communicate effectively with customers in English; bilingual skills are a plus
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills are advantageous
- Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual proficiency, are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing transactions accurately
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude
