Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionThis role oversees all activities related to shipping and receiving in a warehouse stockroom environment. The position focuses on accurately stocking, preparing, packaging, and loading parts for customers, while maintaining complete and accurate documentation and system records. You will work closely with carriers, use SAP and other software tools, and ensure that all shipments leave the facility safely, on time, and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against documentation, and stock parts in the appropriate warehouse locations.
- Prepare, pick, and pack parts and materials for shipment according to customer requirements and internal procedures.
- Package and load parts safely and efficiently for outbound shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Maintain all required paperwork for preparation, pulling, shipping, and loading materials, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
- Complete shipping and inventory transactions in the SAP system and keep system data up to date.
- Coordinate less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, including scheduling pickups and ensuring shipments meet carrier requirements.
- Prepare and complete bills of lading and other shipping documents for outbound shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials as needed.
- Utilize UPS, FedEx, or similar shipping software to process packages and generate shipping labels when required.
- Follow safe operating procedures for overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and stockroom area.
- Comply with all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in pick, pack, and ship processes, including handling various types of parts and materials.
- Experience working with bills of lading and inventory documentation.
- Ability to complete and manage shipping paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for transactions and inventory management.
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or similar carrier software for processing shipments.
- Training in the safe operation of an overhead crane.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Capability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds safely.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders, documentation, and system entries.
- Professional and reliable work ethic, with a proactive, gogetter approach.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Current or recent (within the last three years) forklift certification is a plus.
- Prior experience operating forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment.
- Experience using SAP is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of UPS or FedEx shipping platforms is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance in a warehouse setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, colleagues, and other departments.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse environment designed for comfort and safety. You will spend most of the day standing and walking in the stockroom and shipping areas, occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. The facility emphasizes safety, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and stable, supportive footwear. The environment supports precise machining and logistics operations, with access to SAP, Microsoft Office, and carrier shipping software to manage daily activities efficiently.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mason, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.50 - $34.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
