Job Title: EVS TechnicianJob DescriptionAs an EVS Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, discharge rooms, and public areas throughout the hospital. You will be responsible for wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing trash and laundry, and performing other tasks as needed to ensure the hospital remains a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms, discharge rooms, and public areas such as lobbies and restrooms.
- Wipe down surfaces and ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Remove trash and laundry as part of daily cleaning routine.
- Adhere to cleanliness and safety standards as top priorities.
- Work a rotating weekend schedule to support hospital operations.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
- Experience in a hospital or hotel setting is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a medical environment, including exposure to blood and trauma.
- Ability to lift and push 50-75 pounds.
- Capability to stand for 6-8 hours a day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Floor care and general cleaning skills.
- Experience in discharge cleaning is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe hospital is a modern and clean facility located in downtown Austin with six floors. As part of your duties, you will be required to clean all floors, ensuring a pristine environment is maintained throughout the hospital. Shifts include 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
