The Cloud Networking division seeks an experienced Senior II Test Engineer for the Routing Services Validation team. Responsibilities include defining test strategies, designing detailed test plans, and developing reliable automation frameworks to validate the next-generation routing platform.

As a Senior II Software Development, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive functional tests for routing services, emphasizing BGP protocols, FRRouting (FRR), and GoBGP.
- Validating advanced networking features such as EVPN, BGP Route Reflection, and essential IP routing and switching technologies.
- Creating and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks utilizing Python and Pytest effectively.
- Integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines ensures continuous validation while maintaining software quality effectively.
- Conducting performance, stress, and scalability testing with tools like Spirent TestCenter or comparable traffic generation solutions.
- Resolving intricate networking problems, analyzing routing convergence, and pinpointing underlying causes of system-wide malfunctions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams while mentoring junior engineers to promote testing best practices and continuous improvement.

- Demonstrate expertise in Network Validation, QA Automation, or Systems Testing, supported by practical knowledge in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Demonstrate expertise in L2/L3 networking concepts, including TCP/IP and IPv4/IPv6, with practical experience configuring, debugging, and testing routing stacks like FRR.
- Demonstrate expertise in BGP protocols, attributes, state machines, scaling techniques, and advanced Python proficiency for automation using Pytest and libraries.
- Leverage expertise in high-scale traffic generation tools like Spirent, Keysight/Ixia, Cisco TRex, or Xena Networks for performance validation.
- Utilize Docker to containerize routing daemons, manage multi-container network topologies, and create virtualized network test environments with advanced tools.
