Manager

Location: Jersey

Department: Global Capital Markets

Vacancy type: Permanent

Arranagement: Onsite/Hybrid, 35 hours per week

Our Team

CSC’s Capital Markets team supports clients in establishing and administering Jersey companies and special purpose vehicles (SPVs) used in financing and investment transactions, including debt issuance, securitisation and structured finance.

The team consists of three teams of administrators and a team of accounting staff, as well as support and secretarial staff. Each of the administration teams manage their own portfolios of clients and structures. The team members are responsible for the administration of the various cases with an ongoing responsibility for their SPVs, including entity formation, implementation of transactions, adherence to continuing obligations and day-to-day correspondence, oversight and KPIs.

The Position

As Manager of Transaction Management, your primary focus will be to create and maintain an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team. You will recognise and utilise the strengths of individual team members, build confidence and capability, and support meaningful career development and progression. Through visible leadership, regular coaching, and a strong approach to reward and recognition, you will strengthen relationships across the team and develop future leaders as part of effective succession planning.

Working alongside the team’s technical specialists, you will ensure the effective delivery and ongoing administration of a diverse portfolio of capital markets transactions and structures. Previous capital markets experience would be beneficial but is not essential; of greater importance is a strong track record of people leadership and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and teams succeed.

Your Responsibilities

  • Bring together and lead a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team, creating a shared sense of purpose, trust and accountability.
  • Recognise and utilise the individual strengths, experience and technical expertise of team members when allocating work and responsibilities.
  • Coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, building confidence and supporting individual career progression.
  • Create and maintain meaningful development plans, ensuring team members have access to appropriate learning, cross-training, stretch opportunities and clearly defined career pathways.
  • Champion a culture of reward and recognition in which strong performance, positive behaviours and individual contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.
  • Address interpersonal challenges constructively and promptly, strengthening communication, trust and effective working relationships across the team.
  • Identify and develop future leaders through coaching, delegated responsibility and practical management experience, supporting succession planning and building greater resilience across the team.
  • Oversee the execution and ongoing administration of structured finance, securitisation, debt issuance, capital markets and other SPV structures, working closely with team members, clients and their advisers.
  • Act as a senior point of reference and escalation for colleagues and clients, providing or facilitating guidance on corporate governance, regulatory requirements and transaction-related matters relevant to Jersey-based entities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance and other CSC offices to support effective decision-making and seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure accurate corporate and statutory records are maintained and that all internal and external deadlines, service levels and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Ensure the team understands relevant client fee arrangements, particularly when considering or undertaking work that falls outside the agreed scope of services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to support business growth and participating in marketing and business development initiatives that promote CSC’s Capital Markets offering.
  • Contribute as a senior member of the wider team, supporting CSC’s reputation as a leading provider of corporate and fiduciary services.
  • Take ownership of personal development, using CSC resources and external learning opportunities to strengthen leadership capability and build relevant technical expertise.

Your Profile

  • Have a genuine passion for delivering excellent client service and leading high-performing teams.
  • Be ambitious, driven and motivated to grow professionally while supporting the development of others.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have previous people management experience or a proven ability to coach, mentor and develop junior colleagues.
  • Have proven experience within financial services, structured finance, securitisation, capital markets, corporate administration, fund administration, fiduciary services or related sectors.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Jersey corporate and regulatory environments or experience working with international corporate structures.
  • Previous experience within a corporate services provider, trust company business, fund services provider or capital markets environment in Jersey would be a distinct advantage.
