Requirements
- Demonstrate an active interest in IT, technology and computing.
- Have strong organisational skills and a positive, can-do attitude, approaching tasks with enthusiasm.
- Have some coding experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel; these are advantageous but not essential, as we provide full training.
- Hold a full drivers licence and be flexible to work at other locations within our group.
- Be willing to learn and develop new skills, with good communication, listening, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Be friendly, approachable, patient when helping others, organised, reliable and punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- No industry qualifications are expected.
Responsibilities
- Develop new applications as business needs require, primarily using C#.
- Maintain existing codebases, including systems for data retrieval and manipulation, SFTP communications, database connections, .NET upgrades and internal IIS intranet sites.
- Set up and maintain local and virtual Linux server environments.
- Develop and maintain internal and external websites using technologies such as LAMP, IIS, Apache, PHP, HTML, CSS, WordPress and Node.
- Maintain local and remote MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Help staff with Windows 11 and application-related enquiries, provide IT support and assistance, and troubleshoot issues with appropriate remedial action as directed.
- Understand network infrastructure to support optimisation and fault tracing.
- Treat others with respect and provide accommodating, helpful support.
