Requirements
- Strong experience as a User Researcher or UX Researcher.
- Experience delivering both generative and evaluative user research.
- Strong end-to-end research capability, including planning, participant research, synthesis, and communicating findings.
- Experience conducting research in sensitive, regulated, or complex environments, such as healthcare, insurance, government, or public services.
- Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive research, ensuring participants reflect a broad range of users.
- Experience coaching Product Designers or wider teams to plan and deliver effective research.
- Comfortable working within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Experience using user research or digital behavioural analytics tools.
- Able to work onsite two days per week, ideally in Manchester; London will also be considered.
- Previous contracting experience and comfort joining a programme and getting up to speed quickly are desirable.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, local government, or civil service environments is desirable.
- Experience with tools such as Maze, UserTesting, Dovetail, Optimal Workshop, UserZoom, Amplitude, or FullStory is desirable.
- Experience using or experimenting with AI in user research workflows is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end user research across digital products in a regulated environment.
- Work with multidisciplinary Agile teams to ensure customer needs and behaviours inform product and design decisions.
- Coach Product Designers on research approaches.
- Contribute to developing research capability and ways of working across the team.

The role is hybrid, with two days onsite per week; Manchester is preferred, and London will also be considered.
