Requirements
- Strong Power BI experience, particularly in dashboard development and reporting
- Good knowledge of Power Query and data transformation
- Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting reports and dashboards
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to understand business requirements and turn them into practical reporting solutions
- Good communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders
- Previous procurement experience and data engineering specialism are not required
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Use Power Query to transform, cleanse, and manipulate data from multiple sources
- Maintain existing dashboards, troubleshoot issues, and improve reporting functionality
- Build new reports and dashboards based on business requirements
- Support reporting automation to reduce manual processes and enable users to access data independently
- Analyse purchasing and operational KPIs, including cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance
- Work with data from systems such as Oracle, Snowflake, and SQL databases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and present findings clearly
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and business processes

We are looking for a hands-on Data Analyst to join our busy Purchasing team in Desford, Leicestershire. This 12-month contract is likely to be extended and offers a rate of £25.65 per hour (£192.38 per day), with 37.5 working hours per week. In this role, youll help us improve reporting, automate processes, and give stakeholders better visibility of business performance. Youll work closely with business stakeholders to develop reporting solutions that support purchasing decisions, operational performance, and continuous improvement. The role is suited to someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights, building interactive dashboards, improving existing reports, and finding smarter ways to present data.
