Job Title: Material HandlerPayrate: $20 an hourShift: 1st ShiftJob DescriptionAs a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations within a fabrication and metal manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for efficiently moving raw materials and finished products throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and organized work area. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced in operating a sit-down forklift, and comfortable performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Move, load, unload, and stage metal materials, components, and finished products.
• Operate an overhead crane to safely move material and fabricated parts (training provided).
• Supply production personnel with materials needed to maintain workflow.
• Read and use a tape measure to verify dimensions and material specifications.
• Assist with inventory organization and material tracking.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seaford, DE.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
