Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob DescriptionThis role is based in a busy medical device distribution center that supplies hospitals across a large geographic region. As a warehouse worker focused on order picking, you use an RF scanner to locate products throughout the facility, accurately pick and stage orders, and prepare them for shipment. You help ensure that critical orthopedic and medical products reach hospitals safely and on time by working efficiently in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment. Shift: 8:00AM -4:30PM (Morning Shift) 10:30AM-7:00PM (Afternoon Shift)Pay: $19.00/hourResponsibilities

• Use an RF scanner (RF gun) to locate products throughout the warehouse and accurately pick items according to order requirements.
• Review daily pick lists and orders at the start of the shift and plan work based on shipping priorities.
• Put away incoming orders and inventory into designated locations within the facility.
• Select and use the correct pick bins for different carriers, such as blue bins for FedEx orders and yellow bins for Purolator orders.
• Load picked products onto carts and move them safely and efficiently through the facility to the shipping area.
• Stage and organize orders in the shipping area so they are ready for timely dispatch to hospitals.
• Lift, carry, and move boxes and products weighing up to 50 lbs while following safe material-handling practices.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in picking and handling products, recognizing that items are shipped directly to hospitals.
• Work productively in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily targets and deadlines.
• Use basic computer systems, including SAP, to look up orders, confirm picks, and update inventory or shipping information.
• Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, with team members and supervisors regarding order status and any issues.
• Support a clean, organized, and well-lit warehouse environment by following housekeeping and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with a small team of warehouse colleagues to ensure smooth order flow and consistent service to hospital customers.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of order picking experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Hands-on experience using an RF scanner for order picking and inventory tasks.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for working with warehouse systems and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Stable, steady work history demonstrating reliability and consistency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management or ERP systems.
• Previous experience working with carriers such as FedEx or Purolator.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy, especially when handling medical products destined for hospitals.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a small warehouse team and support cross-training in shipping, receiving, and putaways.

The facility provides a lunch room for breaks and ample parking in front of the building. The standard shift runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a consistent daytime schedule. Work involves regular use of RF scanners, carts, pick bins, and computer systems such as SAP in a professional distribution setting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
