🔧 About the Job

Life Fitness is hiring MIG Welders for a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. This position focuses on pulse MIG welding mild steel, using weld fixtures and weld symbols to produce consistent, cosmetic-quality welds.

🛠 Responsibilities

• Perform pulse MIG welding on mild steel components
• Load parts into weld fixtures and weld according to symbols/specifications
• Maintain consistent, clean cosmetic welds
• Work within a production weld cell to meet daily production goals
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Follow standardized weld sequences and safety procedures
• Wear required PPE, including weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection

Qualifications

• Professional experience with MIG, TIG, or Pulse welding
• Ability to read and understand weld symbols
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production welding environment
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hot, physical manufacturing environment
• Strong reliability and ability to learn/memorize weld sequences
• Must pass required BG check, drug test, and welding tests

🧪 Interview & Weld Test

Candidates complete an application, basic reading/math aptitude test, written weld test, and interview. A separate hands-on welding test includes practice time followed by welding from a fixture and weld symbols.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
