Technical Business Analyst – RegTech

- Understand business and regulatory drivers and define scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Document business rules, process flows, and system impacts.
- Work with developers, architects, vendors, and system owners to shape and validate solutions.
- Plan and support UAT, analyse defects, and secure business sign-off.
- Analyse and reconcile data to ensure that outputs are accurate and complete.
- Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and support fixes and data corrections.
- Use AI and automation to improve how we analyse, document, and test.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or IT Business Analyst, ideally in financial services.
- Good understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including testing.
- Working knowledge of SQL and comfort with data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve production issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience working with multiple connected systems and with distributed or global teams.
- Regular, practical use of AI tools in day-to-day work.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of how trading teams and trading systems work.
- Background in investment banking or capital markets, or other financial services (banking, asset management, leasing, insurance).
- Exposure to regulatory reporting (e.g. MiFID, EMIR) or surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with JSON/XML and data interfaces.
