Construction Laborer
Location: Telluride, COPay: $25.00 - $30.00/hourSchedule: Monday-Saturday | 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)Per Diem: Available for days workedJob Overview
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Construction Laborers to join a long-term project in Telluride, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to work with a well-established general contractor on residential and commercial construction projects in a unique mountain environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions and willing to support multiple aspects of the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, and material handling
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Support carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled trades as needed
- Perform basic construction tasks, including digging, grading, framing support, and concrete work assistance
- Set up and break down temporary work areas, fencing, and safety barriers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with traffic control, trash removal, snow removal, and weather protection activities
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support project completion
Qualifications
Required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and at high elevations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods
Preferred
- Previous construction, landscaping, or general labor experience
- Experience on residential or commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Forklift Certification
Work Environment
- Outdoor construction projects in Telluride's mountain climate
- Exposure to cold temperatures, snow, rain, wind, and direct sunlight
- Approximately 25 feet of snowfall annually
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials
- Work on uneven terrain, ladders, and scaffolding as required

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
