Whinfield Medical Practice, Darlington requires a Full time clinical read coder/administrator
As a clinical coder you will support the Administration/Reception Team and be part of the Patient Records Administration Team to code, workflow and manage documents to ensure robust record-keeping and accurate patient data.
Main duties of the job
As one of our Patient Records Administrators, and specifically as a Clinical Coder, you will bring integrity, teamwork and focus, in addition to your skills to support our patients and the team.
Duties include
Reception Duties
Accurately clinically coding date on SystmOne into patient records
Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately and completing any detailed action.
Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to the patient healthcare records.
Summarising Patient records
Patient Registrations
Patient Access
Receipt, Return and Recording of Patient Records

Job description
Job responsibilities
To be responsible for the read-coding of relevant information into the patients electronic healthcare records on SystmOne clinical system, adhering to the practice coding policy. In addition, the post-holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent qualification
Desirable
- Knowledge of SystmOne
- Read coding experience in a health care setting
