Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to perform receiving and final inspections against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and documented requirements. This role requires verification of products using calibrated measuring and inspection equipment, ensuring part identification, revision levels, quantities, and traceability before acceptance and release. Additionally, the inspector will verify the availability, completeness, and acceptability of First Article Inspection documentation, or perform the First Article Inspection as required before releasing material to inventory or production.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving and/or final inspections against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and documented requirements.
- Verify product using appropriate calibrated measuring and inspection equipment.
- Confirm part identification, revision level, quantity, and traceability before acceptance and release.
- Verify that required First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation is available, complete, and acceptable.
- Perform FAI when required before releasing material to inventory or production.
- Review supplier documentation, certifications, and inspection records for completeness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable inspection records within JD Edwards ERP and applicable Quality Management Systems.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in receiving inspections.
- 2+ years of experience with quality inspections, including mechanical, dimensional, or final inspection.
- Proficiency in reading and following drawings/blueprints.
- Knowledge and experience in GD&T.
- Experience with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and microscopes.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO environment.
- Familiarity with QMS and ERP systems.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is very clean, bright, and open, providing a pleasant atmosphere. The position operates on a straight day shift schedule.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halton Hills, ON.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
