-Job Summary

• We are looking for a CNC Machinist with setup and machining experience to operate CNC lathes and Haas mills in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role includes machine setup, tooling changes, part inspection, blueprint reading, and minor program edits while producing precision aluminum and steel components.

-Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and Haas mills.
• Perform tooling changes and machine setups for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Make minor CNC program adjustments as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation using iPads.
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards.

-Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes).
• CNC setup experience, including tooling changes.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts to tight tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic CNC program editing experience preferred.
• Comfortable machining aluminum and steel materials.

-Shift Options

• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (+25% differential)
• Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Work 36 hours, paid for 40 + 25% differential)

-Work Environment:

• Modern, organized machine shop with approximately 10-12 machinists. You'll work with multi-axis lathes and Haas mills in a clean, well-lit facility focused on precision manufacturing. Safety-focused environment with long-term career potential.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
