Mechanical Assembler @ Aerotek

Assembler Openings (1st and 2nd Shift - $22/hr.+)

Responsibilities

• Assemble large portable enclosures that resemble trailers, ensuring all components fit and function correctly.
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and blueprints to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical assembly, cutting, fitting, and fastening operations.
• Measure and verify dimensions using micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
• Operate saws safely and accurately to cut materials to the required sizes and tolerances.
• Apply mechanical, manufacturing, construction, or automotive experience to perform different types of jobs throughout the project.
• Inspect work for quality and completeness, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
• Maintain an organized work area, manage personal tools, and ensure tools are in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of related experience in areas such as manufacturing, construction, or automotive mechanics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication work.
• Proficiency in using power tools, including saws, in a safe and controlled manner.
• Ability to use micrometers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to provide and use personal hand tools on the job.
• Reliability and consistency in attending work and completing assigned tasks.
• Commitment to working safely in a manufacturing environment, including wearing steel-toed boots.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
