Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Hellam, PA
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM (OT available)Weekly Pay: $20-$22/hourWe're hiring a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support warehouse operations and shipping logistics in a manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on forklift and warehouse work with inventory tracking, shipping documentation, and ERP system responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving activities for incoming and outgoing materials
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift to load, unload, and stage products
- Create and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation
- Generate shipping labels and verify Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN)
- Use an ERP system (IFS/SAP experience preferred) for shipping, order entry, and inventory tracking
- Scan materials and maintain accurate inventory records
- Investigate and resolve shipment or inventory discrepancies
- Assist with unloading trucks and material handling tasks
- Support warehouse operations while completing administrative duties
Requirements
- Previous shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Sit-down forklift experience
- Experience with BOLs, shipping paperwork, and inventory control
- ERP system experience (SAP, IFS, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or metal stamping experience
- Lead, backup lead, or team leadership experience
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Work Environment: Manufacturing facility with varying temperatures throughout the year. Steel-toe boots required. Hearing protection, gloves, and additional PPE provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
