🔧 Truck Installation Technician | Build & Customize Work Trucks

If you like working with your hands, turning wrenches, wiring equipment, and seeing a finished build you can be proud of, this could be the job for you.Were looking for mechanically inclined Truck Installation Technicians Levels 2 & 3 to build and upfit specialty work trucks. You'll work on equipment including dump bodies, crane bodies, bumper cranes, snowplows, service bodies, electrical systems, hydraulics, and truck accessories. This isn't repetitive assembly all day. You'll use your mechanical ability to take a truck and help transform it into a fully equipped work vehicle.

🔩 What You'll Be Working On

• Install dump bodies, crane bodies, bumper cranes, service bodies, platforms, and plows
• Mount hitches, ladder racks, shelving, drawers, mud flaps, vices, and other accessories
• Install and wire strobe lights, backup cameras, trailer plugs, and electrical components
• Install and troubleshoot inverters over 1500W
• Perform light fabrication and welding
• Work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
• Read drawings, work instructions, schematics, and product documentation
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete builds
• Inspect your work to make sure finished trucks meet quality standards
• Help train less-experienced technicians as your skills grow

🛠 You Could Be a Great Fit If You Have:

Experience in automotive repair, diesel/truck work, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, trailer repair, equipment installation, welding, fabrication, electrical wiring, or hydraulics could translate well into this position.We're especially interested in candidates who:

• Are mechanically inclined and enjoy troubleshooting
• Know their way around hand and power tools
• Can accurately read a tape measure
• Have basic 12V/electrical wiring knowledge
• Can read drawings or work instructions
• Have experience installing or securing mechanical components
• Have some fabrication or welding experience
• Want to continue learning and building their skills

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, gas/DEF fill installations, schematics, ECM/TCM applications, or truck upfitting is a big plus.

💪 Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on shop position. You should be comfortable:

• Lifting approximately 3550 lbs.
• Standing and walking on concrete throughout the shift
• Bending, stooping, reaching, and performing overhead work
• Working with hand and power tools
• Working in seasonal shop temperatures
• Working overtime or different shift assignments when needed

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mohnton, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
