Job Title: Shipping SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Shipping Specialist plays a crucial role in efficiently moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport. This position involves unloading deliveries and safely relocating goods to their designated storage areas. The role requires managing materials handling tasks, including stacking, sorting, and storing products in designated areas. Collaboration with warehouse supervisors is essential to optimize workflows and maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse management system. The Shipping Specialist assists in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.

Responsibilities

• Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
• Unload deliveries and safely relocate goods to designated storage areas.
• Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, sorting, and storing products in designated areas.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflows and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate completion of documentation.
• Ensure forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.
• Regularly check forklift equipment for faults or damages.
• Use industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport.
• Keep up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures.
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation skills.
• Experience in production and assembly.
• Inventory management skills.
• Ability to load manufacturing equipment on a 53' flatbed trailer.
• Experience with PLEX systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of sit-down propane forklift experience.
• Experience loading and unloading a truck with a hilo.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts.
• Experience with staging shipments.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a manufacturing environment with shifts from 6am to 4:30pm, including 6-hour shifts on Saturdays. The role entails working 50-60 hours per week in Plant 10. Proper attire and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
