About this role

Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.

To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

Enterprise Services (ES) was established in 2022 to provide efficient, resilient, and scalable services to support the evolving needs and complexities of a more digital BCG. ES brings together business-critical operations - such as Procurement & Payables, Global Finance Operations, and Executive Support Services - alongside specialist expertise including Real Estate, Travel, and Meetings & Events. United by a common service mindset, ES enables every BCGer to focus on the work that matters most by giving time and energy back through streamlined, reliable service delivery.

In doing so, ES creates cost advantage and strengthens BCG’s market differentiation, while reducing risk through consistent controls and business continuity. Through scalable platforms and globally integrated ways of working across our strategic core global hubs, Enterprise Services enhances agility and helps unlock the potential of those who advance the world.

What You'll Do

Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is at the forefront of BCG's transformation into an AI-first enterprise. We partner across the firm to simplify information delivery, unlock advanced insights, and deliver data, analytics, automation, and AI-powered capabilities that help our business leaders make faster, more informed decisions. From global analytics platforms to next-generation AI-enabled experiences, BI&A is shaping the future of enterprise decision-making.

As BI&A continues to evolve, so does the way we engage with our internal partners. As the Global Business Partner Director, you will help define the evolution of BI&A's strategic business partnership capability while personally serving as the trusted advisor for our most strategic internal partnerships. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will model a consultative engagement approach that will shape how BI&A collaborates across the firm.

Success in this role comes from building trusted partnerships, shaping strategic priorities, and helping business partners identify the right combination of analytics, AI, automation, products, services, and technology capabilities to achieve their goals. While you will work closely with technical and delivery teams, your primary accountability is guiding business engagement, portfolio alignment, and long-term partnership rather than leading solution delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Personally lead BI&A's most strategic and complex business partnerships, serving as the trusted advisor for executive stakeholders while modeling the consultative engagement approach that will define the Global Business Partnership function in BI&A.
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor for BI&A's internal partners (ex. Client Team, Global and Regional Finance, Practice Area Finance, Practice Area Operations, BCG X, Enterprise Services, and functional leadership).
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships by developing a deep understanding of business priorities, operating models, and evolving strategic objectives.
  • Guide partners through ambiguity by evaluating business challenges, challenging assumptions when appropriate, and recommending the most effective combination of analytics, AI, automation, products, services, or other technology capabilities.
  • Shape and manage a portfolio of strategic business relationships by facilitating prioritization, sequencing, investment discussions, and capability roadmaps aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Bridge business strategy and technical execution by partnering with BI&A delivery leaders, architects, and Services teams to ensure business priorities are clearly understood, strategic trade-offs are evaluated, and the right solutions are pursued.
  • Bring together the right cross-functional experts to solve complex business challenges, fostering alignment, accelerating decision-making, and creating shared ownership across teams.
  • Establish clear expectations with business partners by communicating priorities, dependencies, trade-offs, and opportunities with transparency and credibility.
  • Champion a consultative engagement model that expands thinking, identifies opportunities, and helps stakeholders understand multiple paths to achieving desired business outcomes.
  • Model and help establish BI&A's Global Business Partnership capability by personally leading the firm's most strategic partnerships while coaching and developing an initial team and evolving the operating model for future growth.

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience leading portfolio prioritization, capability planning, or strategic road mapping across multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term business value.
  • Proven success building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across complex, matrixed organizations, earning credibility as a strategic advisor and partner.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions while evaluating trade-offs across analytics, AI, automation, products, and services.
  • An enterprise consulting mindset with demonstrated success navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions, shaping strategic priorities, and guiding organizations toward thoughtful, outcome-oriented decisions.
  • Experience establishing new organizational capabilities, operating models, or enterprise functions, with demonstrated success leading change across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without authority, bring diverse perspectives together, and foster alignment across business and technical teams.
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for exploring new approaches, embracing AI-enabled capabilities, and helping organizations solve problems in smarter, more effective ways.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Who You'll Work With

You'll join Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), a global team partnering across BCG to deliver data, analytics, automation, and AI-powered capabilities that enable better business decisions.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with business leaders across Client Team & Client View, Finance, Practice Area Operations, BCG X, Enterprise Services, and other functional leaders to understand strategic priorities, shape long-term capability and product roadmaps, and strengthen BI&A's partnerships across the firm. You'll also work alongside BI&A leadership, architects, technical teams, and delivery leaders to connect business strategy with scalable technology solutions.

Additional info
