About this role
Who We Are
Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
Enterprise Services (ES) was established in 2022 to provide efficient, resilient, and scalable services to support the evolving needs and complexities of a more digital BCG. ES brings together business-critical operations - such as Procurement & Payables, Global Finance Operations, and Executive Support Services - alongside specialist expertise including Real Estate, Travel, and Meetings & Events. United by a common service mindset, ES enables every BCGer to focus on the work that matters most by giving time and energy back through streamlined, reliable service delivery.
In doing so, ES creates cost advantage and strengthens BCG’s market differentiation, while reducing risk through consistent controls and business continuity. Through scalable platforms and globally integrated ways of working across our strategic core global hubs, Enterprise Services enhances agility and helps unlock the potential of those who advance the world.
What You'll Do
As the Global Business Intelligence & Analytics Platforms Strategy Manager, you will play a hands-on role in enabling BCG’s Business Intelligence and Analytics platform strategy. Working closely with the Platform Strategy Director, you will help teams navigate BCG’s evolving analytics technology landscape, translating platform strategy into practical recommendations and supporting teams as they adopt the right solutions for their needs.
You will combine functional platform expertise with strong transformation delivery management. While technical teams will own the hands-on implementation, you will help structure and manage transformation workstreams, maintain accountability for progress, and coordinate across teams to move migrations and platform transitions forward. You will also help frame technology choices and trade-offs and support recommendations for senior decision-making forums.
Responsibilities
- Guide teams in evaluating and selecting BI and analytics platforms based on functional needs and BCG’s platform strategy.
- Manage transformation and migration workstreams, coordinating technical delivery teams, tracking progress, and maintaining accountability against agreed plans.
- Identify delivery dependencies, risks, and blockers across platform transitions, working with the appropriate teams to drive resolution and maintain momentum.
- Assess platform use cases and trade-offs across technologies including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, Sigma, Business Objects, and GenAI-enabled tooling.
- Support the continued transition away from Alteryx and future platform rationalization or retirement efforts.
- Translate complex platform considerations into clear recommendations, options, and trade-offs for teams and senior decision-makers.
- Partner with the Platform Strategy Director to develop analyses, recommendations, and materials for Steering Committees and other senior forums.
- Serve as a key functional point of contact across platform and technical delivery teams, connecting business needs, transformation execution, and BCG’s accepted tooling strategy.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in technology, analytics, platform strategy, or related roles.
- Strong technology fluency, with the ability to quickly understand evolving BI and analytics platforms.
- Experience supporting technology transformations, migrations, or platform transitions across complex organizations.
- Ability to evaluate technology options, understand trade-offs, and translate them into practical recommendations.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with success driving alignment and adoption without formal authority.
- Experience coordinating complex workstreams and technical teams while maintaining accountability for delivery.
- A collaborative approach to navigating competing needs and building trusted relationships across technical and business teams.
Who You'll Work With
You’ll be part of the global BI&A Platform Squad within the BI&A Platform Portfolio in Enterprise Services, working closely with the Platform Strategy Director and colleagues across the broader platform and IT organization.
Your work will connect you with teams across BCG that use BI and analytics technologies. You’ll collaborate with technical delivery teams as well as the people using these platforms day to day, helping connect global platform strategy with the practical realities of adoption, migration, and transition.
This is a highly collaborative, global role, with interactions that can extend from enterprise-level teams to local offices and individual technology users as BCG’s platform landscape evolves.
