Job Title: Order Entry Specialist
Job Description
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders and ensuring timely, efficient order flow throughout the organization. This role serves as the central point for order management, including entering orders into the ERP system, maintaining order records, generating shipping documentation, and supporting purchasing and invoicing activities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently as the primary responsibility of the role.
- Review order information for completeness, accuracy, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- Input and maintain data within the Epicor ERP system.
- Generate bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
- Create, update, and maintain purchase orders.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing and order status updates.
- Match purchase orders to packing slips and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Assist with follow-up on outstanding customer payments and delinquent accounts.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding order status, inventory needs, and customer requirements.
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in order entry, customer order processing, sales support, purchasing support, data entry, or a related administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Experience working within ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with custom manufacturing or job shop operations.
- Experience using Epicor ERP.
- Knowledge of Infor ERP.
- Purchasing or procurement support experience.
- Exposure to accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections processes.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Addison, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
