About this role
Freightserve recruitment are looking to recruit an Air Export Operator for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Staines-Upon-Thames area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage air export shipments from booking through to departure and post-flight completion.
- Coordinate with airlines, handling agents, hauliers, customers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Accurately prepare and issue all export documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, manifests, labels, and supporting shipping documents.
- Complete export customs declarations using CargoWise in accordance with HMRC requirements, customer instructions, and company procedures.
- Obtain competitive carrier rates and prepare customer quotations.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipment profitability and margin performance
- Ensure all customer enquiries, requests, and concerns are managed professionally and within agreed timescales.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service delivery.
Required Experience:-
- Proven knowledge of air export operations
- Export customs understanding.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Time management and prioritisation.
- Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Working hours are Monday - Friday 9 - 5.30pm
