About this role
Daily operations
- Run a fixed daily rhythm covering floor walk, shift huddle, KPI review, receiving oversight, dispatch supervision and end-of-day handover.
- Oversee inbound receiving, putaway, picking, QC and dispatch so stock reaches dark stores on time and in full.
- Escalate issues the same day to the Distribution Center Lead instead of letting them accumulate.
Store transfers and fill rate
- Ensure every requested quantity is sent against its Store Transfer (ST) reference and every ST is completed.
- Keep cancelled and reverse STs at zero by clearing pending and aging STs before they become cancellations.
- Check the running fill rate through the day and intervene early if it is trending below target.
Inventory integrity
- Own the monthly cycle count of all SKUs, split into a daily count plan with minimal discrepancy.
- Personally review and approve every cycle count adjustment, so you know about each one.
- Enforce Location Based Inventory (LBI) so pickers always know where a product is, with full compliance.
- Share the list of SKUs expiring within 60 days with the commercial team in the first week of each month, so discounts can reduce shrinkage.
Quality, invoices and reporting
- Ensure QC checks are logged on every dispatch.
- Resolve quantity mismatches and upload invoices to the shared drive daily before 8 PM.
- Send a daily end-of-day KPI report and a monthly scorecard to the Distribution Center Lead.
People
- Lead, coach and set standards for supervisors and floor staff, including attendance, shift planning and training of new joiners.
- Build competence in each role at the DC, from supervisors to the inventory team.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field.
- 2+ years in warehouse, distribution or inventory operations, including 2+ years managing supervisors and large floor teams.
- Proven track record in inventory accuracy: cycle counts, discrepancy investigation and shrinkage control.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for daily KPI tracking and reporting.
- Discipline to follow a fixed daily routine, with sound judgment on when to escalate.
- Willingness to work on-site in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment, including peak days.
