Warehouse Worker @ Aerotek

Job Title: Warehouse Operations WorkerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Worker responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and coordinating with the Customer Service team to ensure all shipping documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Transact customer orders using both carrier and ERP systems.
• Provide quality control inspections within the workflow.
• Package and tape international shipments in multi-pack cartons for export.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Take an accurate inventory count at the end of each day.
• Serve as a back-up order picker as needed.
• Assemble cardboard cartons for large, multipack shipments.
• Move prepared shipments from shipping cart to dock door as needed.
• Call and/or email forwarding companies to arrange pick-up.
• Consign shipments to forwarders and ensure correct shipments are consigned by checking documents.
• Maintain good communication and rapport with co-workers.
• Ensure shipping area is kept organized and neat.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues on the shipping floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in material handling and general warehouse operations.
• Computer literacy.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and shipping & receiving processes.
• Forklift Certification required or the ability to get certified.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software/applications.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Work EnvironmentWork in our new distribution center located in Tigard. The environment includes extensive racks similar to a Costco and utilizes material handling equipment to stage orders for shipment. The position offers both day and swing shifts with varying hours and opportunities for contract-to-hire positions.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
