General Laborer @ Aerotek

General Laborers will be responsible for gathering and assembling panels, using a tape measure to measure and cut the lumber material, and requires to be able to physically lift 50lbs on a consistent basis. Prior experience in construction or working on a production line/ assembly line, in any type of general labor or laborer position would be considered a good fit for the role.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Wall Panel Assembly Line and Roof Truss Assembly Line.
• Read blueprints and drawings to set up large assembly tables for production.
• Lay out lumber products, such as 2X4's, 2X6's, and 2X8's, to assemble wall panels and roof trusses.
• Secure joints properly by placing Steel Connectors or Gussets on all seams of trusses.
• Use a framing hammer to attach plates to framed panels.
• Send assembled products to the Yard Department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Read a tape measure accurately.
• Handle a variety of other general production tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience in construction.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, particularly a framing hammer.
• Experience in construction, framing, and general contracting.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Mechanically inclined with a minimum of 6 months of construction experience.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
