About this role
- Martin Donovan is seeking to hire a Dairy Farm Assistant for a farm in North Kildare.
- Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to upskill in all aspects of dairy farming.
- Duties to include milking, calf rearing, calving, and general farm work.
- Weekend work on rotation.
- The typical day to day duties include: Milking & Herding Calf Rearing & Calving Vaccinations Mastitis Control Cow Care – Infections, Treatments Lameness Treatments/ Foot bathing Bedding & Cleaning cow & calf sheds Fencing & General farm maintenance Hedge cutting, strimming & spraying Experience: Dairy farm experience necessary and must be committed to achieving herd yield and health targets.
- Good stock skills are essential.
- Must be able to drive tractors / operate machinery (desirable).
