Salary: £51,794 - 60,426 per year
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of embedded software engineering experience
- Strong C and/or C++ programming skills
- Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux, or bare-metal development
- Good knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi
- Comfortable working from datasheets and schematics during board bring-up
- Right to work in Ireland
- Nice to have: experience with Zephyr or FreeRTOS and ARM Cortex-M
- Nice to have: experience with BLE, Matter, Thread, or proprietary RF
- Nice to have: Python, Git, TDD, or CI/CD experience
- Nice to have: cybersecurity experience or experience with regulated or safety-critical products
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded C/C++ software for microcontroller-based products
- Develop drivers, communication protocols, and system features
- Support the integration of wireless technologies, including BLE, Matter, Thread, and Wi-Fi
- Support hardware bring-up and hardware/software integration
- Carry out unit, integration, and system-level testing
- Investigate defects and perform root-cause analysis
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and CI/CD practices
