Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal has an opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, to join our team.
Main duties of the job
As Director of Clinical Services (DoCS), you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, driving the hospitals quality strategy and ensuring the delivery of outstanding clinical and therapeutic care in line with regulatory requirements and organisational standards. You will lead clinical governance, audits, incident investigations, safeguarding, complaints management and restrictive practice reduction, promoting a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Working collaboratively with clinical teams and key stakeholders, you will oversee quality assurance, support regulatory inspections, monitor patient and family experience, and develop and implement service improvement plans. You will also provide coaching, training and professional guidance to enhance clinical practice, ensure contractual quality standards are met, contribute to organisational policies and initiatives, and participate in senior management on-call duties as required.

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 12 miles from the service.

Requirements
Essential
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council
- A recognised post-registration qualification together with full membership / accreditation of a relevant professional institution and evidence of continuous professional development.
- A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential.
