Customer Service & Warehouse Associate | 1st Shift | $18/hr | Vista, CAJob DescriptionWe are seeking an entry-level Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate to support daily yard and customer operations. This role involves assisting customers at the counter, pulling and stocking materials, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and supporting the warehouse team as needed. Ideal candidates are dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in an outdoor building materials environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Answer basic product questions and help locate materials.
• Create tickets and process orders accurately.
• Coordinate with yard staff to fulfill customer orders.
• Provide professional and friendly service at all times.
• Stock shelves and organize block, brick, pavers, and related materials.
• Pull and stage orders for customer pickup or delivery.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Perform regular cleanup of yard, warehouse, and counter areas.
• Follow safety procedures while working around heavy materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with inventory organization and restocking.
• Support other team members as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Recent warehouse/general labor experience.
• Experience with customer service.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, yard, or customer service experience is a plus.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
