Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing production machinery, maintaining electrical equipment such as motors, control boxes, welders, and PLCs, and ensuring conveyor systems operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to determine required maintenance and repair procedures.
• Perform routine calibration and preventive maintenance on a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment including electric motors, control boxes, welders, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, both electrical and mechanical, to ensure reliable operation.
• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electric, and hydraulic motors, as well as associated electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and diagnostic methods to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on high-voltage, three-phase, and other electrical systems.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of production machinery.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Capability to perform preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment.
• Experience with PLC control systems, including PLC troubleshooting.
• Skill in electrical troubleshooting, including work with 3-phase power and AC motors.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain conveyor systems, both mechanical and electrical.
• Basic welding skills for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Multicraft experience with approximately 50/50 mechanical and electrical experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a multicraft maintenance technician (mechanical and electrical).
• Familiarity with 480V and three-phase motors, AC motors, and related industrial power systems.
• Exposure to PLC programming and advanced PLC troubleshooting is highly beneficial.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment maintaining automated equipment.
• Comfort working across multiple technologies, including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and conveyor systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to following safety and operational procedures.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a production environment with work performed on and around industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Maintenance Technicians may work on any of three shifts: 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Third-shift employees will train on either 1st or 2nd shift for their first one to two weeks.

Work involves hands-on use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and interaction with PLC-controlled systems in an industrial setting, following appropriate safety procedures and attire suitable for a manufacturing environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lithia Springs, GA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
