📍 Gaston, SC💲 Starting Pay: $24.80/hour🕒 Full-Time | Day Shift🏭 Maintenance DepartmentAerotek is hiring experienced Industrial Insulators for a full-time opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility in the Columbia area. This position offers steady day-shift hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to support critical plant operations in a large industrial environment.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Insulator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of plant operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining insulation systems throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and repair insulation on piping, equipment, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels, and ductwork.
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials for a variety of industrial applications.
• Fabricate and install insulation jacketing, reducers, tees, and custom fittings.
• Apply finishing materials including sealants, plastics, canvas, tape, cement, and mastic.
• Safely remove and dispose of old insulation materials.
• Read and interpret job packages, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with scaffold builders and other maintenance crafts in a multi-craft environment.
• Obtain and maintain certifications for forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes as required.
• Work safely in elevated locations and confined spaces.
• Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and shutdown activities.
• Serve as a member of the facility Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial insulation or pipe covering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred

• NCCER, NIA, or similar industry certifications
• Scaffold experience
• Experience working in a chemical plant or industrial manufacturing environment

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to install, repair, and remove industrial insulation systems
• Experience reading drawings, specifications, and work packages
• Strong measuring, cutting, and fabrication skills
• Knowledge of insulation finishing techniques and materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Industrial chemical plant environment
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and manufacturing conditions
• Must be comfortable working at heights, on pipe bridges, and elevated platforms
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment throughout the shift
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime when business needs require
• Required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Gaston, SC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $51584.00 - $51584.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.401k medical dental vision
